At a height of 532 metres, Mount Ellanion is the tallest mountain on the island of Aegina. At its summit, there is a church dedicated to the Prophet Elias as well as the remains of the Temple of Zeus.
Myth tells us that the Temple of Zeus was established by Eade for hearing his prayer and bringing rain to the drought-plagued island. The view from the site is exquisite, with the beaches, the town of Akos, in gratituegina and the islet of Agistri spread out below.
