A new summer highlight dedicated to jazz and improvisation makes its debut this year on the island of Aegina in Attica, the Greater Athens Region!
Organized by the Jazz Solidarity Network – Greece’s only official jazz body – and supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture, the Aegina Jazz Festival brings two evenings of exceptional music and contemporary dance with free admission, to one of the country’s most artistically vibrant communities.
Set against the evocative backdrop of the historic Kapodistrian Orphanage, the festival features performances by acclaimed musicians with ties to Aegina, alongside free dance improvisations that explore the connection between sound and movement.
From Mediterranean jazz echoes to vocal quartets and groove-heavy trios, this celebration of culture, spontaneity, and place invites audiences to experience the island in an entirely new way.
