Church of Saints Constantine and Eleni

Municipality of Glyfada

Dedicated to Saints Constantine and Helen, the Cathedral of Glyfada is located near the old City Hall. This unique church stands about 30 metres from the site of an older, smaller church, which was destroyed by a bomb in 1942, during the German occupation. Already under construction by 1938, the new church was finished in 1940. Designed by the architect-engineer Georgios Dragazikis, this temple is one of Glyfada’s most visually stunning and memorable sites.
