Evangelismos Station

Municipality of Athens

Directly in front of the Evangelismos Hospital is Evangelismos Metro Station (Line 3, Egaleo-Airport). This subterranean station houses a permanent exhibition of antiquities found in the excavations that were conducted during its construction including ancient burial grounds, and parts of the 6th-century Pisistratus Aqueduct. These and other collections make up the small museum that passengers visit each time they board a train or exit the Metro. Additionally, the entrance to the station is decorated with a modern sculpture by famed artist Chryssa. Image source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelismos_metro_station
