The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation proudly collaborates with the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation to celebrate the remarkable artistic duo, Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) and Martine Franck (1938-2012), with a heartfelt tribute that unfolds in parallel across the Foundation’s both museums – in Athens and Andros – until October 27, 2024.

The carefully curated works, drawn from the “Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson” collection, invite visitors to experience the unique, poetic perspectives of these two iconic photographers and embrace their distinct artistic visions, without confronting or comparing them.

Accompanying the exhibitions is a richly detailed catalogue, featuring insightful texts by the three curators: Clément Chéroux, Director of the “Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson”, Aude Raimbault, Collection Curator of the “Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson”, and Marie Koutsomallis-Moreau, Head of Collections at the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation.
