Cape Apolitares is located in Antikythera, in the southernmost part of the island. One of the largest oil lighthouses was built here in 1926. Access to the lighthouse is by boat from the Antikythera River. It is often impossible to approach the lighthouse for long periods due to adverse weather conditions. The area is exposed to all weather conditions. It is installed in a round stone tower. There is a house next to the tower. It can be seen at a distance of 36 nautical miles. It has a height of 23 metres and a focal height of 45 metres.
