Varkiza Beach

Varkiza Beach is one of the largest and most popular beaches in Attica, it belongs to the Municipality of Vari - Voula - Vouliagmeni and has been awarded the Blue Flag 2023. With a total length of 1 km, it has a thick sandy beach and shallow waters that extend at a long distance into the sea. About half of the coast has been converted into a luxury beach with many services, such as, sports facilities, parking spaces, dining areas, sanitary facilities, clubs, rest rooms, and nautical facilities. The other half remains unexploited and free to visitors. Varkiza beach is also extremely popular for water activities such as windsurfing and water skiing. It is 26 km from Athens and access is very easy either by public transport or by car as it is located next to the urban area of the city of Varkiza.
