The Canyon of the Mills in Alepochori is located in the Gulf of Alkyonides and is one of the closest gorges to Athens. Its exit is a few meters away from the road that connects Kato Alepochori with Mavrolimni. To approach its entrance, the visitor should park the car at its exit, continue on the road towards Mavrolimni for about 800m, and turn left onto the dirt road. The exit of the gorge is next to the coastal road from Alepochori to Schinos and just before reaching Mavrolimni. It is a characteristic narrow crack in the rock at a distance of 50 meters from the road. The easy approach to its entrance is via the dirt road (approx. 2.5 km), with poor passability, which starts 500 meters after the exit to Mavrolimni, always following the left path in its branches. The gorge has 13 rappels of no more than eight meters and 1 waterfall of 25 meters. It starts in an open field and continues with impressive narrows to its end, with no possibility of escape. It has water from November to spring.
