Estia Nea Smyrni Museums

Apart from its cultural activities (events, etc.), three different Museums are housed in Estia's premises: Art Museum: In the Harilaos Chiotakis collection, visitors can admire furniture and silverware from the 17th and 18th centuries, silver miniatures, Chinese art objects and Delft porcelain from the Netherlands, in which Harilaos Chiotakis fled as a refugee after the destruction of Smyrna. Museum of Byzantine Art: The Museum of Byzantine Art was created thanks to a generous donation from Georgios and Eleni Tsakiroglou of Smyrna. The museum houses an excellent collection of the couple's personal items, a collection of Greek painters of the interwar period, the wax effigy of Saint Chrysostomos of Smyrna, the work of the sculptor Loukia Georgantis and a unique musical instrument, known as the Panharmonio, by the great Musicologist Konstantinos Psachos. Museum of the Asia Minor Campaign: The Asia Minor Campaign Museum displays a unique collection of Asia Minor relics, clothing and personal items of important personalities who were protagonists of the Asia Minor Campaign, such as the National Martyr of Smyrna Chrysostomos was or Eleftherios Venizelos and General Anastasios Papoulas.
