The Ellinikon Experience Park

The Experience Park offers a wealth of activities and experiences for all ages and preferences. It is designed to create a new green oasis for Athenians and to serve as a model for sustainable living and recreation. The park is constantly evolving, and with each visit, the visitor will always discover something new. It is the first of the large and emblematic projects that will be carried out in Ellinikon. In the area of the historic Athens International Airport, where the three Air Force hangars stand, the "Experience Park" is a green oasis that offers unique experiences for all visitors. The park, designed by the architectural firm Doxiadis+, marks the beginning of a wider urban regeneration project. It is the first part of the Ellinikon Park and "introduces" the great Ellinikon project to the general public. Ellinikon, designed by the internationally renowned architectural firm "Foster + Partners", is the largest urban regeneration project in Europe. It is an iconic destination centered on one of the largest coastal parks in Europe: The Hellinikon Park. Many activities take place daily in the park, such as the "Micropolis", the largest social awareness festival for children and parents, educational workshops and experiential activities, yoga classes, basketball, organized walks, etc.
