The 39th Authentic Marathon of Athens will be the first “green” Marathon worldwide. It will be the first time that the organization of this Classic has chosen to reduce its environmental footprint and set the stage for future events to follow suit. It will be the first time that, in addition to the messages of solidarity and uplifting to a wider audience than those who systematically deal with sports, beyond the Authentic Marathon, it also sends the message of environmental sustainability and the need to assume individual and collective responsibilities.
