Music Day 2022 – Athens State Orchestra at Megaron Concert Hall Gardens

This year’s Music Festival is coming on Tuesday, June 21 in the Garden of the Athens Concert Hall.

The Athens State Orchestra will present Ludwig van Beethoven’s First Symphony under the young conductor Katia Molfesi, and the Typana Percussion Ensemble (Dimitris Desyllas, Andreas Farmakis, Nikos Metallinos, Marios Mouzakitis, Babis Taliadouros, Dimitris Argyropoulos) has chosen for the program of the project “Drumming” by Steve Reich.

Christina Psycha and her band, Yiannis Loukatos and Hot Club de Grèce, who stood out at this year’s Open Platforms, the physical and online auditions of the Megaros, will also perform on the Garden stage, an initiative within the BRIDGES cycle, which aims to highlight new artists and is implemented in collaboration with the Association of Beneficiaries of Music Works (EDEM).

The Festival of Music is a summer institution, with music becoming the occasion to meet again in the Garden of the Athens Concert Hall with well-known ensembles and artists, but also with up-and-coming musicians.
