Due to the sheer size of the completed mansion, the manor quickly gained the reputation as the largest and most expensive private building of the era.

Built in 1929, the Girls’ High School was based on plans by distinguished Greek architect, Nikolaos Mitsakis.

An important example of Eclecticism, the five-floor building follows all modern trends of the time, incorporating many Art Deco elements.

The Kleanthi-Schaubert or the Old University, is in a high part of Plaka, in Tholou Street and is a very old building (probably from the 17th century).

This impressive three-storey structure on Panepistimiou Street was built between 1878 and 1880 for distinguished German businessman and amateur archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann.

After the war of 1964-1966, an eight-storey building was constructed behind the old complex, and now houses most of the hospital's services.
