This race is inspired by the steps of the mystics of the past as they crossed the “Iera Odos” with the aim of awakening their consciousness through the Eleusinian Mysteries.

One of the messages that this race gives is that the athlete runs in the race not only as a body but also as a free spirit thus giving an imprint of culture, kindness and spiritual search.

The “Iera Odos”, which in the past was a universal symbol, of a path of initiation towards purification, preserves this message. This is also the peculiarity of this half marathon in relation to any other such race.
