Hydra island honours the 190th anniversary of the legendary Admiral Andreas Miaoulis’ death, with an annual festival that lasts two weeks. From June 13 till June 29, the island of fAttica, the Greater Athens Region, hosts a variety of exhibitions, concerts, lectures, musical events, theatrical performances, games, folk dances, boating and sports games. The festivities conclude on the weekend 28-29 of June, with the celebratory reenactment of the Battle of Gerontas and the burning of the Ottoman flagship followed by an impressive fireworks show!
