Olympic Equestrian Center

The Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Center was completed in 2003 and hosted the 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Games. It covers an area of 940,000 square meters with work rooms, permanent viewing stands, parking, and competition areas. It also includes: - Main Sodded Show Jumping Arena (90x120) - Main Sand Dressage Arena (80x40m) -Sodded Show Jumping Arena for Final Training (80x40m) - Sand Dressage Arena for Final Training (60x20m) -Indoor Sand Arena for Training (70x30m) - General Sodded Training Arena (90x90m) -2 General Training Sand Arenas (90x45m) -3 Sand Training Arenas Sand for Dressage (60x20m) It also has a 5,710m long Cross Country Trail with 35 obstacles, an Equestrian Triathlon training area, a stable complex with the capacity to host 280 horses, and it has a fully equipped veterinary clinic jointly with the Athens Racecourse.
