The Panos Cave, at the foothills of Mount Parnitha, in the Municipality of Fyli, is located in a ravine at an altitude of 620 meters. The cave consists of two rooms connected by a very narrow and low corridor which we can crawl through. It has dripping basins – the second room has a large basin with dripping material – and numerous lamps, about 2,000, which were found by the archaeological research, which is why it is also called the Lamp Cave.
The Panos Cave is accessible from several parts of Parnitha, but an interesting route starts from the Holy Kleiston Monastery, which can be reached by car and has a parking space and can be combined with other interesting points (other caves such as Premi, Kalamara, viewpoints (Arma), gorges (Gouras).
