Archaeological Collection in the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”

The permanent exhibition of archaeological findings, discovered in Mesogeia, includes 172 ancient objects dating from the Neolithic and Proto-Helladic periods to the Post-Byzantine period. It was inaugurated in 2003 and aims to highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region. Located in the Central Airport Building (Departures Level - Entrance 3), it has replicas of some of the most important findings found during the construction of Athens International Airport, some of which are hosted at the front entrances of the airport on the Departures Level.
