Monastiri

This beach sits just beneath the Zoodohos Pigi Monastery at the end of the Askeli road. There’s a small refreshment stand plus organized and free sections. The beach boasts cobalt waters and a view of the Peloponnese coast. It’s great for a swim after touring the monastery—just remember to bring proper attire. The beach is four kilometers from Poros Town and served by bus.

Closest beach to Poros Town, Kanali is a sandy strip just off the small bridge linking Sphairia and Kalaureia that boasts turquoise waters and a view of the Aegean. Vayionia, on the island’s north coast with a full view of Attica’s coast, forms the base of a deep cove ringed by a pine forest. Amenities include beach bar and sun beds. Good snorkeling around the ruins of a sunken ancient city. A rock at the beach’s west end is popular a natural diving board.
