International Museum Day: 18/05/2024-Free entry to archaeological sites, museums, monuments

The International Museum Day was first coordinated in 1977 by the International Council of Museum (ICOM) and is held annually on May 18th to highlight the role museums play in modern society.

This year’s celebration theme is “Museums, Education and Research”, aiming to promote museums as spaces that provide a vast field of knowledge in topics such as art, history, science, technology and tradition, helping to better understand a world that is sustainable, inclusive and empathetic.

Celebrate the International Museum Day with a variety of events and free entrance to many museums and archaeological sites across Attica!
