The Kyras Spring i.e. Lady’s Spring or Cold Spring of Fylis is located in the central Parnitha and it is believed that it holds secrets and other unknown folklore stories. Near the spring there is an ancient theater built on the ruins of the ancient temple of Panos. Nearby is the sanctuary of Panos, the materials of which, according to the locals, helped to rebuild the spring in its present form.
This spring, besides its incomparable green beauty and its crystal clear water, is also known for a legend and a story. According to the legend, on winter afternoons, when the sun is setting, the visitor should not be near the spring because there is a risk of meeting the little girl in the white dress and her mother. The little girl emerges from the middle left part of the fountain. She is wearing an all-white dress with a light blue ribbon around her waist. The girl walks toward the visitor with her arms outstretched and tears in her eyes. Other stories tell of strange appearances and disappearances of people and strange lights in the sky. The natural beauty of the spring, the tranquility of the area, and the secrets it holds make it a wonderful place for hikers to enjoy and quench their thirst from the crystal clear waters of Kyras Spring.
