The Museum of Asia Minor Hellenism “Filio Chaidemenou” is a fundamental part of the history and culture of Athens city. The exceptional collection of Asia Minor relics that were saved during the dramatic moments of the Asia Minor disaster, in the 1920s, owes its origin to the kind offer of the refugees everywhere, which willingly responded to the call of Asia Minor Filio Chaidemenou and collected them with particular persistence and care. For about fifteen years now, this place has kept alive the memory of the refugees through their relics and stories, which form the cultural tradition of Asia Minor, while the great participation of citizens of all ages is the greatest recognition for all those who fought for the creation of the museum.
