The Schinias Olympic Rowing and Canoeing Center was built to host the rowing and canoeing events of the 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece. It is part of the Schinias National Park and covers an area of 1.24 km2. The rowing course is one of only three approved by the International Rowing Federation as a training center. The Schinias Olympic Rowing Center, owned by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, is currently used and developed by the Hellenic Rowing Federation and the Hellenic Canoe Kayak Federation. At the same time, the property is being developed through short-term events, mainly of a sporting nature. The site also houses the Schinias Marathon National Park Management Authority.
