Although there are many fine swimming beaches in Megalohori, the capital of the island, the most popular is the one closest to town.

To the east, towards Skala, there is another superb organised beach with umbrellas and deck chairs.

While all of the beaches here are quite large, they also tend to be crowded because of the abundant options for accommodation and direct connection with Piraeus via Flying Dolphin.
