Otto’s Stables

Constructed in 1845 as an addition to King Otto’s stables, this building is one of the oldest structures in modern Athens. Following Otto’s reign, the building was used as a prison, and later as a primary school.

Today, this easily recognised building is often used as a set for movies and TV series.

This beautiful old Athenian building has served as a modern entertainment venue since 1991. Its stone masonry and original 19th century style make it a true gem.
