Panepistimio Metro Station

Located in front of the University of Athens, this station houses a permanent exhibition of archaeological findings from excavations of large burial grounds conducted during the station’s construction. Also displayed here are the impressive works of Greek artist Giannis Moralis.

Due to the station’s centralised location, it is a convenient transportation hub for the city’s workers, professionals, students and shoppers, who are only a short distance from the heart of the commercial district of downtown Athens.
