Tactual Museum

Founded in 1984, the museum gives the visually impaired, as well as everyone else, the opportunity to literally feel the greatness of ancient Greece.

The aim is to explore Ancient Greek civilisation while improving the welfare of the visually impaired. The Tactual Museum received the European Museum Award of the Year 1988 and is one of only a few museums of its kind in the world.

Exhibits are based on replicas of items from other museums all over Greece.
