History and Folklore Museum

Housed in a neoclassical building in Aegina, this former residence of scholar Panagis Iriotis was given to the municipality of Aegina by his daughter, Polymnia.

The ‘House of the Fisherman’ displays model boats and fishing items. The ‘Country House’ exhibition displays traditional agricultural and weaving tools.

The ‘Urban House of Aegina’ exhibits costumes, embroidery, furniture and other items from museum archives and donors’ collections.

The museum’s garden is used for cultural events and exhibitions sponsored by the municipality of Aegina.
