Museum of Political Exiles Ai-Stratis

Located in Keramikos, the heart of ancient Athens, this museum keeps permanent collections of items and artwork from political detention and exile camps all over Greece.

The collection makes vivid the dark years of modern Greek history, 1920-1974. The museum also houses archives from well-known Greek artists Ch. Daglis, Τ. Τzaneteas, G. Farsakidis, G. Ritsos, V. Blassiidis, C. Chariati-Sismani, V. Katraki, K. Tsakiris, Ch. Kagaras, Th. Konstantinidis and A. Tassos.
