Goulandris Museum of Natural History

The Goulandris Museum of Natural History is a private, non-profit institution, dedicated to the study, preservation and protection of Greece’s natural environment.

Founded by Angelos and Niki Goulandris, the museum gives visitors crucial knowledge about the environment. With a host of educational activities, it provides a basis for environmental preservation not only in Greece, but globally.

While the first exhibition halls were designed by members of the British Museum of Natural History, subsequent zoological and geological exhibitions were designed by directors at the Goulandris Museum itself.
